If you want to reset your MoMo PIN and you have less than 2000Fcfa in your MoMo account, you can do it you can do it at the confort of your home. You should do the following steps to reset your MTN Momo code in Cameroon:

  1. Dial *126# to get access to the Mtn mobile money Menu
  2. Select 4 which corresponds to pin code forgotten
  3. Follow the directives for resetting your pin code. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS. 
  4. Enter the OTP to reset your pin.
  5. Now, enter your new pin code after successfully verifying your account.
  6. Great! You are done. You can now use the new pin code.
NOTE: If you cannot receive an OTP, then call MTN Customer service via 8787. You will be required to provide your correct  Date of birth, Full name, and National Identity Card number before the One-time Password (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS.

if my MoMo account is not in my name can I reset my MoMo PIN?

If the amount of money in your mobile money account is more than 2000 Francs CFA, you will have to go to the nearest MTN Cameroon Agency for your issue to be sorted out.

And if my MoMo PIN is blocked?

When your MoMo PIN is blocked, you absolutely must go to one of our MTN agencies, with your valid document so that an agent resets your PIN.
